New Space Portugal presents evolution of the Atlantic Constellation at the 2nd Annual Meeting of Mobilising Agendas

Co-promoter:

The 2nd Annual Meeting of the Mobilizing Agendas and Green Agendas for Business Innovation took place yesterday in Santa Maria da Feira, with the participation of New Space Portugal. It was an opportunity to share the results achieved so far by this working group, such as the evolution of the Atlantic Constellation, which will address global sustainability and security markets.

At an event attended by the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa; the Economy Minister, António Costa Silva; the Science, Technology and Higher Education Minister, Elvira Fortunato; the Minister for the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva; and the Territorial Cohesion Minister, Ana Abrunhosa; Agenda New Space Portugal presented itself with an exhibition area to show and reinforce the plan to carry out the most ambitious project ever in the national space sector.

The aim is to develop, launch and operate nearly 30 new satellites under the Portuguese flag by the end of next year, a goal that was anticipated last week with the launch of the MH-1 nanosatellite, a project led by CEiiA and Thales Edisoft Portugal, two of the partners in this consortium. A life-size replica of the MH-1 - the second satellite developed entirely in Portugal to go into space - was on display at this event, organised by IAPMEI as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), of which New Space Portugal is a beneficiary.
