New Space Portugal Gathers Members for the 2nd General Assembly

Co-promoter:

Just four months after starting the year with the 1st General Assembly, the NEW SPACE PORTUGAL Agenda brought together consortium members for the 2nd General Assembly. The meeting took place at the VdA - Vieira de Almeida premises, in Lisbon, and saw the significant participation of over 80 members representing the 39 entities that make up this consortium.

The objective was to continue collaboratively outlining the project's execution through a detailed status update and to present results, particularly a teaser with some of the main conclusions from the report "Research Studies on Earth Observation Development," one of the deliverables of the "Earth Observation Studies" working group. This group is led by VdA - Vieira de Almeida in collaboration with co-promoters GEOSAT, Nova School of Business and Economics, and Colab +ATLANTIC.

Additionally, to ensure the meeting's relevance and to give to co-promoter's useful tools for better project execution, several informative sessions with various industry stakeholders were also promoted, namely: "Satellite Licensing", presented by Manuel Cabugueira and Pedro Ferreira from ANACOM - National Communications Authority, followed by a discussion panel and Q&A session moderated by Magda Cocco (VdA), joined by Carolina Rêgo Costa from the Portuguese Space Agency; and "Insurance for Satellites and Space Access", presented by Price Forbes.
