"The Importance of Space" was the theme highlighted on the program “Sociedade Civil”, on RTP2, featuring the participation of four organizations from the New Space Portugal Agenda: GEOSAT, CEiiA, Omnidea, and N3O.
During the discussion, participants addressed the ongoing development of the Portuguese space sector and its ability to attract and retain talent for the innovative projects underway. These projects aim to position Portugal as a spacefaring nation over the next decade, promoting Portuguese-developed technology in global Sustainability, Security, and Defence markets.
The conversation also covered the need for effective investment mechanisms to help consolidate a "new space economy," emphasizing the importance of investing in such a strategic and rapidly growing sector on the global stage.
