Aveiro Space Week promotes discussion on the Portuguese space sector

New Space Portugal was present today at at the opening session of Aveiro Space Week, an event that is the result of the work being carried out by this consortium, particularly the working group led by the University of Aveiro.

Running until Friday, Aveiro Space Week aims to foster discussion and innovation within Portugal's rapidly growing space sector. As the Program Manager Carolina Caffi Rodrigues emphasized, the New Space Portugal program is fueled by significant ambition for the country's future in new space business.

The inaugural session also saw the participation of key figures, including the Secretary of State for Science, Prof. Ana Paiva, the Mayor of Aveiro, the Rector of the University of Aveiro, the President of the Telecommunications Institute, the Director of AED Cluster Portugal, and the Director of the Portuguese Space Agency. They were joined by NASA astronaut Danny Olivas, who had the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with the young people taking part in this year's Astronaut for a Day initiative.
