On November 30th, ESA Space Solutions Portugal celebrated its 9th anniversary at the Pedro Nunes Institute. The event was organised in collaboration with the European Space Agency, the Portuguese Space Agency and ANACOM.
Thematic sessions, panel discussions and the presentation of the ESA Tech Transfer Award took place. To promote the PRRs, there was a thematic session: “The Portuguese Recovery Plan (PRR) as a driver of new businesses”. In this session, Carlos Cerqueira presented the NEURASPACE - AI Fights SpaceDebris project. For the presentation of Agenda NewSpace, a video was shown with the intervention of Emir Sirage, explaining the importance of the PRR, which includes a series of measures to support the development of new companies, including funding for research and development, innovation and entrepreneurship.
It was a day full of sessions and networking and it was definitely important to highlight the future of space in Portugal.
