New Space Agenda Management and Coordination

Management and coordination activities play a crucial role in the success of the New Space Portugal Agenda, encompassed within this Work Package (WP). They are indispensable for ensuring that all members adhere to the best implementation practices, effectively manage their tasks and teams, and monitor the progress of the work to guarantee the successful achievement of proposed objectives, particularly the PPSs.

WP1 is spearheaded by GEOSAT in collaboration with the leaders of all WPs throughout the Agenda's duration. Its primary focus is on management and coordination, working closely with both vertical and horizontal WP leaders. This collaborative effort aims to monitor, control, and foster the development of activities and tasks within each WP, covering administrative and technical aspects. Additionally, it involves overseeing the WP's schedule (depicted in a'Gantt' chart), managing the budget, tracking relevant deliverables and milestones, and aligning with the overall objectives of the Agenda.

The application of typical project and program management methodologies is central to this process, promoting collective collaborative efficiencies. To support the day-to-day progress of the Agenda, methods, current communication mechanisms, and flexible, simplified information exchange are practiced among all members.
